about
Carlson holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the Carlson School of Management. She has spent her career navigating the many complexities of human behavior. Her writing is born from that space, where motives are messy, anguish is viral, and truth quickly blurs with fiction.
Though her writing dwells in darkness, Carlson herself is known for her warmth and sharp humor, an opposition that shapes her voice and allows moments of light to shine through.
Her work is steeped in lore and myth, driven by strong, morally complex characters whose cutting dialogue, clever wit, and raw emotion draw readers into worlds that are both brutal and deeply human.
In her spare time, Carlson enjoys woodworking, hiking with her family, collecting hobbies, and reading.
